Bench Test Your Security Camera for Seamless Twitch Streaming

Ensure a smooth Twitch streaming experience by testing your security camera beforehand! This guide walks you through a “bench test” to verify functionality and connection before permanent installation.

Benefits of a Bench Test:

  • Familiarize yourself with the camera’s features.
  • Guarantee successful connection to your Twitch account.

Step 1: Power Up and Network Connection

  • Connect the camera: Use an Ethernet cable to link it to the PoE injector’s “P+D” (Power and Data) port.
  • Power the injector: Plug the PoE injector into a working power outlet. Most models have a status light for power confirmation.
  • Connect to router: Use another Ethernet cable to link the injector’s “Data” port to your router or modem.

Step 2: Access the Camera's Web Interface

  • Open web browser: Launch your preferred browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.).
  • Locate IP address: Find the camera’s IP address on its box label.
  • Enter IP address: In the address bar, type the camera’s IP address and press Enter.

Alternative: Finding the IP Address with ConfigTool

If the IP address is missing or wasn’t provided during purchase, use the ConfigTool software to locate the camera on your network.

Step 3: Success! Access Granted

If everything is configured correctly, you should now be able to access the camera’s web interface and proceed with the guide.
